Drive
Ryan Gosling cements himself as a king of sad puppy eyes, second only to Vincent Gallo.
I could watch anything Nicolas Winding Refn makes and love it (probably). Drive feels very separate from films like the Pusher Trilogy & Bleeder -- minus the lighting, that is consistently magical. I really, really love this film. You can feel the drivers longing for connection -- to be a * real human being. *
Surprisingly emotionally poignant, expected less in all honesty. Ryan Gosling, Bryan Cranston, Albert Brooks & Ron Perlman all in one single film, what more could a man ask for?
the song fits the film perfectly, man -- what a spectacle.
