Network

A fantastic timeless classic with incredible writing, great acting and fascinatingly tragic characters. The film deals with alot of subjects that are still relevant today. Here it's in the form of television, but todays generation has social media platforms. An equally powerful and dangerous platform as the networks in this movie. Howard Beale is a very interesting character because the idea of a clearly mentally unwell false prophet using a modern platform to reach an audience has become so normalized because of social media. There are Howard Beale's everywhere on the internet. It is pretty scary and impressive that a 50 year old movie can still be relevant.
