30s screwball comedies and 40s noir saved my miserable good-for-nothing life.

Its shallow rush-to-the-point narrative and its b-level tale of vengeance with gory imagery being branded as a body horror ruined the could have been most compelling part of it, morality. Still watchable as what it is, just very forgettable.

All the symbolic imagery doesn't matter because it was so much fun to watch.

This is what would happen if you put an autistic person in a room full of read-between-the-lines so-called intellects. And if that room is full of white people, you get America. Everytime Chance tried to say something people would immediately take it as a metaphor and come up with their own interpretation. Peter Sellers performance was one of a kind, and Shirley Maclaine was good too.

Charming and full of witty remarks, not the best movie ever made but it has almost everything I love about movies.
