Waves
Watched this in 2022 and completely forgot about
it. I just rewatched and has to be one of the greatest movies ever. It’s is one of those movies that feels almost too real to watch at times. I loved how the story is told through two different perspectives. The first half of the film is incredibly heavy and intense, almost overwhelming in the way it builds pressure and emotion. It really pulls you into the characters’ lives and shows how quickly things can spiral.
Then the second half shifts into something much softer and more reflective. It feels calmer, almost pure, like the movie is showing the possibility of healing after everything that happened before. That contrast between the two halves is what makes the film so powerful.
The acting is honestly amazing across the board. Every performance feels natural and real, like you’re watching situations that actually happen in real life rather than a scripted story. And the soundtrack is incredible. The music fits every moment perfectly and makes the emotions hit even harder.
