A Separation

A master class in dialogue driven by an emotional story (much like Marriage Story, which clearly takes inspiration from this and is nowhere near as good). One of the best screenplays I’ve ever seen with the most painful cliffhanger I’ve ever seen in a film, this truly is a must-watch for anyone who cares about dialogue in film.
