Backrooms

The first hour and a bit really doesn’t prepare you for the huge pivot in the plot in the best way possible. Set dressing felt right and true to the original concept with the inclusion of existing areas of the backrooms. It was crushing to see what became of Clark after seeing him in that classic “down on his luck guy” kind of trope where normally I’d expect it to all pan out well for them in the end. That final shot was perfection Mary’s back rooms form staring into nothing with the classic ambiance that’ll stick with me the most
