Rear Window
I love how Alfred Hitchcock does so much with so little. Nowadays, I feel like a lot of films are too focused on shoving hundreds of visuals, million-dollar settings, complex subplots, weird concepts, and CGI at the audience. Whereas, he simply takes common, daily-life neighbor drama and turns it into a scene full of tension and danger—which is mostly built up not only in Jeff’s mind, but in ours.
On another note, Jimmy Stewart is such a great actor; I wouldn’t be able to pretend like I’m not the least bit interested in making out with Grace Kelly.
