Akudama Drive

What a great Anime. Short, sweet, captivating, violent and beautifully dark. The only thing holding it back from a 4.5 are the first 4 Episodes which are good but kinda slow paced, thankfully that changed rather quick and drastically. What i think the show really nails is that the stakes are constantly and drastically changing. What begins as an good but rather dull first third then quickly shifts into pure neon-filled insomnia... sometimes even full on horror which surprised me. It gets pretty violent and merciless in the end.  And what i think is rather impressive is that even tough the show is only 12 Episodes long and environment changes all the time, that all of the characters have their own concluded ark/development and that they aren’t shy of killing them off. Very few of them survive. And still besides all of that is the fact that this is the prettiest anime (series) I’ve seen to date. The animation is fluid, vibrant in color, over the top but still very detailed. The Opening also bangs. I don’t want to tell anything about the story tough, but if you like Cyberpunk and over the top action this ones for you... even if you haven’t seen any anime, this is a great starting point :)
