Polytechnique
When I think about the story this film is based on, it feels surprisingly empty. That's what I struggle to understand. Denis Villeneuve always works with powerful, haunting material - stories that stay with you long after they end - and once again, the core of Polytechnique has that weight.
But the film itself feels strangely hollow. It's as if something essential is missing - like it was made without air, without emotional oxygen.
for me, that emotional emptiness creates a disconnect. Instead of being fully immersed, I felt like I was observing something that should have hit much harder.
