Dragons Forever

This might be the best Jackie Chan movie, and it also might be the best Sammo Hung movie. The action here is incredible, and unlike some of the other classics, they do not make you wait endlessly for it, as it is well spread out through the run time. On top of this, The trio is incredible in this. Yuen is a maniac, Jackie Chan is playing a bit more of a shady guy than he normally does, and Hung is at his most loveable. The romantic comedy bits of this actually are pretty effective overall, as you actually want to see them succeed. There are no huge “stunts” in this, so I could see why some might prefer some of Jackie’s other movies, but as far as fighting goes, it’s all choreographed and directed very well. All around excellent. A true classic.
