Inception

Exciting, visually rich, and it’s both complex and simply conveyed in an easily digestible way. Love the ambiguity, and the slight misdirect where at the time it came out, the core discussion was “is he in a dream at the end?” But as time has gone on the popular discussion has instead become “was he in a dream from the very beginning.” I love that the pieces are all there in a way that makes you feel like you could definitively solve it, and yet you can’t entirely, and also it doesn’t really matter. Very reminiscent of the multiple endings of twin peaks in that regard. the movie dares you to solve it and teases you, but the only reason you care is because of how effective the whole thing is. Good time.
