The Shining

Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall, and Danny Lloyd had some absolutely astonishing acting performances in this movie. I can’t picture another actor who could play the role of Jack Torrance quite as magnificently. Danny Lloyd also had one of the greatest, if not the greatest, performance from a child actor I’ve ever seen in this movie, and let’s not forget about Shelly Duvall, who poured her heart and soul into this movie to the point where she experienced hair loss from the extreme stress it took her to act in it. These incredible acting performances were absolutely enhanced by the greatness and perfectionism of Stanley Kubrick, as well as the superb cinematography of John Alcott. Truly a masterpiece of the horror genre, which has become a timeless classic that not only adapted, but improved upon the work of Stephen King in so many ways, showcasing a lot of interesting symbolism and understandings as to the true meaning behind the Overlook Hotel and its horrors.
