Breathless

“..murderers murder, lovers love.” French new wave at its finest. The experimental camera shots and riveting direction from Godard makes this film near perfect. the complexity of the two characters of ambiguity of their real emotions are so intriguing. their romance and enticing interactions filter between deception and non-fiction, leaving me as the viewer in the dark and yearning for more. however this unknown is completely destroyed in the final shocking scene, wrapping up the film perfectly and creating a new layer of convolution to their dynamic. the costuming, Godard’s visions/abilities and the ending makes this film an easy 5 stars
