Aliens

While Alien is a slow burn horror featuring a terrifying alien in a claustrophobic ship, Aliens turns the tables and takes the overall formula and increases everything about the first movie. The stakes are as high as ever, the action is more large scale and intense, the character arcs are more complex especially characters like Bishop and of course the film is a lot more action packed and grand. While I do like both films I personally enjoyed the larger scale intensity concept of aliens a bit more than the first film. However despite the two films being significantly different they both fit together perfectly like a trilogy of only two films. One thing I must point out though is that despite mainly decent vfx the way the xenomorphs move in both films always feels off to me and I don’t know why. Anyway this film is great.
