The Evil Dead

JESUS CHRIST!!!! this has to be the best horror film I’ve ever watched. I’ve never seen anything like this before, and you certainly don’t see horror films like this nowadays. the 80s really did have amazing horror films, i should check more of them out. I loved the whole supernatural concept of this film where there are basically demons from the dead possessing all of ash’s friends. it’s incredible!!! you just don’t see horror films like this now. the fact that the demons were not only possessing people but possessing and controlling the trees, is so fascinating. the closest I’ve ever seen to this concept of some extent is final destination. this was incredible with its use of claymation, stop-motion, prosthetic makeup, and clever camera tricks. I cannot wait to watch the rest of the films from this franchise. (also, Bruce Campbell is fine asf)
