An amazing Mexican odyssey. The cinematography in this film is stunning. I love films shot in black and white they look so crisp. I love the revolutionary backdrop and the conversation between sombra and Oso in the car about small revolutionary actions. Sombra's speech to Epigmenio Cruz was so beautiful. His arc of finding the healing of his panic attacks through Tomas and facing them head on is so good. The scene where the director criticizes himself in saying that making a film about a bunch of Mexicans in black and white and calling it art was hilarious. Note: I need to watch more Mexican cinema.

First of all fucking phenomenal film. Dominic Sessa was great, I would expect nothing less from him. I believe he will be a star. He is one of my favorite new actors. I also must highlight the chemistry between Sessa and Antonio Banderas, it is amazing. The scene in which they are prepping in the kitchen alone was beautiful. Shout out to my favorite comic right now Stavros Halkias loved that the banter gives you a grasp on what happens in kitchens. On a serious note, any young person that is feeling lost in life needs to watch this film. While I know the story is heavily dramatized. Seeing a lost, young, and ignorant Bourdain find his calling in the least likely of places is truly a spectacle. Note: It was so good, I immediately bought a copy of Bourdain's Kitchen Confidential, so excited to read it.

This film is fucking awesome. The body horror scenes, the psychedelic scenes, and all the Aylmer scenes are amazing. The score is surprisingly good as well. All around good fun horror film.

I love that it turned from a romance into a physiological horror. Such a great film, it really ropes you into the story. The cinematography is amazing especially the all blue scenes. The build up is also interesting as it is normal till they start kind of obsessing over each other and you see her home.
