Bar Boys
*“ikaw nalang ‘di naniniwala sa sarili mo.”
“sabi ng tatay ko, kalaban ko ang sarili ko pero, pagod na po akong matalo.”
“the purpose of life is to be defeated by greater and greater things. kung ‘di ka natatalo, hindi ka na gumagalaw.”*
tangina, bars. hirap maging abogado. one small mistake can affect a whole population. nakasalalay lahat sa’yo. i loved how everybody got serious after entering law school, and how it depicts the different lives students live beyond it. isang kwela lang, isang academically pressured, at isang may sobrang supportive family pero nangangailangan. in short, pressured pa rin.
man, this showed how kailangan na perfectionist ka sa law school AT KAILANGAN MAY ISASAKRIPISYO KA. chris was so heavily devoted in his acads that he didn’t notice that he was actually losing in the process (he would be a good lawyer though) +i would like to highlight the mindset of joshua. iba talaga ‘pag wala ka sa sitwasyon, and you know nothing about the occurrences around you. hindi mo maiintindihan.
sobrang cherry on top nung confrontation scene about saving a friend or honors. that fucking honors na “walang kwenta” was everything for chris. TANGINA, ANG GANDA ng context. NO WORDS.
kailangan makausap ko si justice hernandez. we all need a justice hernandez. kailangan ko siya sa college na i-real talk ako when things get tough. pa-order po ng isang magandang mindset na kahit matalo ako sa una, icoconvince niya ako na with a spark of belief and confidence, maganda ang resulta sa huli.
