Alien
The ultimate in alien terror!
The practical effects and set design were out of this world. The writing and cinematography and especially, shockingly, sound design build the tension and make this a truly scary movie. The actors and characters feel very fleshed out and enjoyable to watch interact with each other.
In universe, we see a lot of a little of the Alien, until the end. So we know what to be afraid of without desensitizing us to it. Also, the cat survived.
+.5 star for sigourney weaver 🙏🙏 (the ending 🤌)
