Fallen Angels
there’s something about the atmosphere that immediately reminded me of the feeling i get after coming back from a school trip. quiet, filled with fleeting memories, a little unfamiliar, strange but warm. the film’s vibe is also incredibly dreamy. a lot of green-tinted frames, but somehow i feel comfortable with it. it feels like i'm peeking into someone’s life at night. which makes sense, since the whole film takes place after dark.
the camerawork is unusual. honestly, i can’t quite describe it. quirky, unconventional, but it works very well. i love it, really.
dare i say, the atmosphere and vibes reminds me of 'Selamat pagi, malam', but more complex?? i think it’s brilliant. the characters are pushed out of their comfort zones, and holy.. the cinematography is stunning, and the whole mood just pulls me in completely.
