Damage
Damage is a film that explores how complicated and destructive human nature can become when desire and obsession collide. Anna is a standout in this film for me as shes a magical enigma, the centre of destruction and an alluring figure that doesn’t truly reveal her true motives or emotional depth. This makes her unpredictability an intoxicating pull of desire to Stephen, drawing him into a deeper sense of obsession and self destruction as he gets lost in her entangled world. I do believe the sex scenes were necessary asf as not only they were kinda 😜 (besides one bit…those who know) but it truly conveyed how messy the affair was and the addictive bond they both shared, as all reasoning completely outplayed morality.
Holy shit, Miranda Richardson acting at the end was genuinely some of the best acting I’ve seen, she managed to capture the heavy weight of despair so well that every moment of it just felt so real like actually witnessing a mother’s utter devastation. She was so good and I wish I could’ve seen her more throughout the film because god damn that acting was FIRE
HM: Loved the outfit choices throughout the film
