Death Note
Kira's first victim, was Light Yagami, himself
I think we can conclude that Light, seeing himself as a the 'god of the new world' is just a coping mechanism, and to sugarcoat his true self as a serial killer. He was shaking during his first two kills, and later on developed this coping mechanism. Probably because he was used to being a perfect student, he had to maintain that image.
To be honest, I enjoyed it more when it was just about a genius phsycopathic highschool student who has a shinigami as a pet against L, a highly skilled detective with years of experience.
After L died, the anime took a toll on its plot. it felt forced, and there were many plotholes and forgotten characters, that were once important to the plot, they just vanished with no further explanation.
The ending was very poetic. It was Ryuk that made Light die, it was him that wrote his name on the notebook.
The very thing that made him start was also the very thing that made him end—his ego and the Death God, Ryuk.
Misa committing suicide during a sunset, is lowkey a metaphor to showcase how she can never live without Light. I do think women here are horribly written. That's what's also stopping me from rating this anime a solid 5
Although, I feel like if Light were to lose, he should've lost to L. but by losing to Near, that means he also lost to L, so?
I LOVE REM AND MISA SO MUCH
I LOVE THE ENDING, NO ONE CAN CHANGE MY MIND BYE
ALSO, CAN WE PLS ACKNOWLEDGE HOW THE LAST THING LIGHT SAW BEFORE HE DIED WAS L???
