John Krasinski, take a bow. If this hadn’t been prefaced for me by the person who showed it to me, I would not have fully grasped how deep of an exploration of childhood trauma this movie would be. Ryan Reynolds has such amazing acting range; that’s all I’ll say about his character because it’s simply fantastically played. Heart-tugging and very cleverly written, IF asks us to explore the places in our past and our mind that we normally share with no one and that we often forget when we grow up. Loved this movie, seemed like a cheesy kids movie at first but it holds up extremely well.
