holy shit, this was awesome. It had all the trappings of a western, a vampire flick, sci-fi, and dark fantasy. there was a certain shakespearean draw to the plot as well. this era—80s and 90s—of anime is the best that it has ever been.

good enough van damme i suppose, it was interesting seeing him in a more gritty film, but the camp associated with him is one of my favorite parts of him. I enjoyed the fight scenes, but the gun fights were only okay.
