*But to feel nothing at all - what a waste.* This film is beautiful, there is no doubting it, absolutely gorgeous cinematography, acting and soundtrack. But for all its beauty, this film struggled to capture me with Elio and Oliver's relationship. More often than not, it felt very vague and underdeveloped, as if there was something there but it just failed to be fully grasped. I feel as though this issue was worsened with their dialogue, as it often came across as shallow, making their true feelings for each other hard to pin down. But overall a beautiful film, it was hard to get immersed at times... i was bored at many points but i blame this on my own short-attention span
