Flee

Thousands of people have been leaving my country, Cuba, every day with hopes of getting to the US someday through human trafficking. Part of my family is doing the journey right now and this movie broke my heart. I don't know what's going to happen to them or to the many friends that have also left in the last couple of months. The few people who are still in the island is because they can't afford the trafficker and all you can hear everyone talking about is leaving. We have all lost purpose and hope here, nothing we do matters, and the government has never cared for us. They've been filling our minds with the lie that everything will get better and now it's been more than 60 years. If you relate in any way to this movie, I wish the best for you and I tell you to always keep fighting for hope. - Gabriela
