Seances
Before watching this, I'm quite anxious upon reading the review and the concept behind this film, how daunting this is. I'm quite pussy towards horror, so not knowing what I'll get, intimidate me. But the thought and concept behind this project intrigued me so much that I put the emotion behind and dive into it. I'm glad I did just that.
"I can feel my Tyrone in my bosom, coming to me"
Frightened Tuva went into Club Superior as she was searching for her brother, Tyrone. She's quite anxious on the whereabout of her brother as one of the people in the establishment stated how Tuva and her brother are almost inseparable. Out of the blue, a song rises up unbidden from Tuva's chest. She sings of her rapturous childhood with her brother, tangled together in the delicate dream-web of Duluth. The film goes from colours and black-and-white throughout the film, with what sounds like a claustrophobic establishment with tons of noises following the colours and unsettling yet calm music following the black-and-white.
Cut to a child with a handgun in front of two men. The "TWO FATHERS" pleaded to the child, Yvonne, on whether they're the real one. Yvonne made the choice.
"Where flowers bloom, so does hope"
- Lady Bird Johnson
Ten years later, 'stage robbers & floral fugitives'.
Then, the rest just abstract shapes.
