Skyfall
Pretty much a masterclass in every way you can think of.
Brilliant storytelling that not only serves as a reinvention of origin/rebirth but also as a perfect bookend to Bond’s arc started in Casino Royale. Poignant directing that gives everything a large scope while not taking away from the interpersonal stakes. Some utterly superb sound design, especially during everything in Shanghai.
Skyfall isn’t just a phenomenal send off and homage to everything that’s made the Bond films so endearing, it’s hands down the best Bond out there. Period.
