A Bronx Tale
Easy 10/10 “The saddest thing in life is wasted talent.” I don’t think you understand how much I loved this film. Acting is so stellar and man C lost everything in one night. So many great quotes in this that have you still think after the film. “Is it better to be feared or be loved.” Honestly I am still thinking about this quote but I would have to pick be feared. Fear is always real but love can be faked is how I see it. I thought Sonny would betray C at a point in the film but he kept it real the whole time and was honestly even a better role model at points than C’s father Lorenzo played by Robert De Niro who is so fantastic in this as an actor and he is also fantastic as a director here. C and Lorenzos fight in the kitchen was honestly one of the best scenes in this whole film. And man how did Jane take C back after he literally called her brother the hard r even though he was lying about C beating him up but still. And man C ain’t even apologize to her. The ending sequence was honestly perfect and so heartbreaking even though I was a little happy to see C’s friends go. When the man put the gun to Sonny’s head I was honestly heartbroken. And lastly talking about wasted talent is only having Joe Pesci in here for a 2 minute cameo was crazy. (Got that from another review but I had to put it in here) And to anyone who doesn’t like this movie “put ‘em in the bathroom.” Honestly after first watch this might be one of my favorite films ever made.
