Forrest Gump

10/10 I’ve never been so sad before. Man this movie just destroyed me. And I honestly don’t get all the hate for Jenny. Obviously what she did to Forrest was messed up but her mental was all messed up from everything that happened in her childhood. How dare they have this movie categorized as a comedy. Yes it was funny but they should make a genre called depressing. Lieutenant Dan’s character was just so sad and you just feel for the man. And man oh man Bubba how sad you had me. So many amazing scenes in this movie that will bring you to near tears. Honestly I was so happy when Forrest finally got to be a shrimp boat captain for Bubba. I know he made Bubba so proud. And after he finally finds Jenny again she dies. Like why does this movie do this. Just keeps hitting you when you’re already down. Easily my favorite scene in the movie is where Forrest meets little Forrest. It just brought me to tears to see Forrest like that after seeing his son. When she said “he’s named after his daddy” I mean just wrecked me. This was one of the movies I’ve needed to get watched in my film-bro catalog and i’m happy I finally watched it. I also watched with my grandpa and it was one of his favorite movies ever so it was fun hearing him talk about the movie while I watched it. This is my new favorite movie I’ve watched for the first time this year.
