While it is very similar to the fun, action packed, wholesome superhero movie that the original was. Superman 2 gives us a lot of nothing. The first roughly 15-20 minutes of the movie i’m confident you could skip and miss absolutely nothing. It also uses off screen solutions to problems that should be much larger than they are. But overall this is still at heart a Superman movie. I love the character, and I still had a lot of fun. Great 4th of July movie.

“By the way, you look unbelievably beautiful tonight. You’re practically glowing. Maybe it’s the lighting” What a wonderful, charming film. So very well made. Visually stunning. Just might be one of my favorite movies ever.

soooo much fun as a superhero movie. lois lane and superman have incredible chemistry. fun special effects as you’d expect from a 70’s film. Superman being a truly nice guy, not a non chalant aura farmer that the justice league tries to make him appear as. I only docked a star because it lowkey felt like the longest movie ever
