loved loved this film , many people are aware to know van gogh’s life was lead by madness and tragedy as a perpetually tortured artistic soul with a visionary spirit. this film along with dafoe’s at eternity’s gate and the doctor who episode, casts van gogh in a humanized manner, they focus on both parts sadness and joy in his life. humanizing van gogh is something many tellings of van gogh fail to provide us in many ways as they only focus on his mental health issues only as the definition of his character.
