Fuck 12. Masterclass in building suspense. Despite the fact that you know exactly how it’s going to end before the movie “starts” the shock of what happens still hits just as hard. Michel B. Jordan does an amazing job of making you feel and respect Oscar as a man. Ugly cried 4 times during the movie. Melonie Diaz is standout and gives an amazing and underrated performance. Coogler does an amazing job of making every scene and every shot feel like a slice of someone’s life. PS - had the chance to watch this film in theaters in February and missed it. Probably a good thing based on how it made me feel.
