Death Note

Never thought I would be an actual anime enjoyer but here I am. I have to say that a lot of this made me giggle because it was silly and overdramatized at points (specifically Light’s mischievous asides where he’d literally start whimpering and giggling and smirking like a goober), but overall I really enjoyed it and felt like it surprised me at every turn. L is the BEST character, I won’t take any criticism. Near and Mello were fine replacements for him but L really carried the show for me and made it all the more interesting as a perfect antithesis to Light. Also, Misa, girl, you could do so much better. I feel bad because they could have really delved into her being the second Kira and how she used that power on her OWN rather than just making her immediately obsessed with Light but whatever I guess.
