Ratatouille

Ratatouille may deliver a pro free market message about pulling yourself up by your bootstraps by telling the tale of one proletarian worker who ascends to the approval and standard of his bourgeois oppressors, but it also makes me ugly cry. This was one of my favourites as a kid. I don't think it's a completely perfect movie, but the music, the performances and oh the characters! The famous Anton Ego scene lives up to it's legendary status, a perfect moment from start to finish. Honestly I think the last act of this movie is maybe one of the best ones in cinema history. I may be too darkwoke to heap unlimited praise on Brad Bird these days, but the guy knows how to craft some of the best storytelling the medium of animation has ever seen... One may say he cooked with this one.
