Backrooms
I am amazed by the fact that a person near my age,a 20 year old, directed this.
The concept of The Backrooms is something that always caught my interest but never enough to do some digging or some research.Cuz im pretty sure there is a game all dedicated to The Backrooms and ive seen it a couple of times, but never played it myself.Anyway,im glad it got on film.
I love the way the dreadful, terrifying, hopeless feeling this whole thing gives is captured because this one of the only Horror Film that I watched that actually made me feel scared.(For my personal experience id say both this and The Hereditary)
The whole dining room sequence was by far the best.It really felt like some David Lynch kind of shit, and if im not mistaken I already heard that a couple of times, and of course,it was really helped by an incredible performance from the actors.
I think that in general,Horror movies have some of the greatest performance of all time, even in the recent history of cinema.
Plus, the post-credit scene explaining what was going on with Warren and his team on 18 June 1990 and how they all died in there was also a really nice touch.
Its a shame tho I watched this too late,I remember it came out at the start of the summer,at the same time as Obsession and I prefered to watch that one instead of this one, after that I promised myself that I would have watched this too,but I kept procrastinating and watching other films and in the end i got to September, and I still hadn't watched it before today.
