Jojo Rabbit
A very fun and charming satire! Although its not wihtouth a few missteps, the glamorization of the jewish resistence as exibited Elsa Korr and the stupidity of the Nazis can feel a bit too much at times, i've got encountered feelings on it as a Jewish person.
However, i feel its unfair to not let a satire be a satire and demonstrate this through its storystelling.
We all know the Nazis were bad, we dont need the characters to turn to the camera to say this to say to us, so why dont we act like the grown people we are who know this and enjoy the film?
Its not Inglorious Bastards because it was never supposed to be, and i feel you can understand Taika Waititis vision if you choose to.
