One of the best things about slapstick comedies is the fact that no matter how bad you’re feeling, they always lighten up your day, even just a little. With *Charlie Chaplain’s *debut feature film *The Kid*, it does that perfectly. A quintessential slapstick film that is actually really well directed for a movie that’s 105 years old. The Kid’s acting was really well done. I was actually surprised just how good he played the role. If you ever have 68 minutes to spare, why not watch *The Kid*? You can find it on YouTube!!

This was my most anticipated rewatch for a couple of months now. My love for this movie just grew so much bigger now. I see this film as one of the biggest achievements not only in cinematic history, but in media history. This movie is perfect. Disturbing. Gut-wrenching. Genius. WWII sounds absolutely horrible and depressing when learning about it in a history book, but actually WATCHING the horrors of war makes me wonder why we still war now. Why must the innocents suffer because of war? This movie highlights the truly evil nature of human beings. And that’s why it has cemented itself as one of my all time favourite movies. Thank you Elem Klimov for crafting quite possibly the best piece of cinema in history.

Notice how everything was all shits and giggles until the white man show up? Yeah..

How fucking dare you play Cannock Chase at the end of the movie. Joachim Trier will pay for this. They also should’ve given Elle Fanning the Best Supporting Actress award because she was the STAR of this movie.
