the film’s storyline was very interesting and filled with plot twists. i’ll say it’s one of the best thriller films i’ve seen so far with such beautiful cinematography. the second half was unsettling and creepy in so many ways… hitchcock really knew what he was doing with this film.

pretty, strange, and quite disturbing. i don’t quite know how to express how i feel after watching this. the character séverine is quite interesting to watch, she doesn’t feel comfortable being intimate with her husband who clearly adores her, but she’s still drawn to prostitution? something that’s a bit hard to understand throughout the film. either way, catherine deneuve carried this film amazing. the clothes and hair alone deserve an oscar!

“please god, don’t let me fall in love and want to do disgusting things.”

with the way he overreacted, you would’ve thought she ACTUALLY murdered someone.
