Haven’t seen this since I was a little kid. Wow. Blown away by how good this is, has that sense of wonder only Spielberg can conjure up in film, mixed with childhood nostalgia. Beautiful and touching. All timer. MVP OF THE FILM: easy answer is Spielberg but we do cast MVP around here so imma go with the entire child cast, this is an ok blockbuster if the child actors are on the level of most films but they all bring it thanks to amazing direction.

Man this is crazy underrated. I expected nothing and was blown away. Directing, acting, and cinematography were off the charts. Flows so well with much less action than I’d expect, but when there are battles, it’s really well done. MVP OF THE MOVIE: I wanted to say Joel Edgerton as I like him and love this performance, might even be his best until Train Dreams, but dammit it’s undeniably Sean Harris, his character and that performance takes the movie from good to fantastic, draws the best out of Chalamet.

Great horror that really reinvented the genre, sort of the worse in my opinion as people just made torture porn type movies thinking that’s why this was so great but it’s the pure terror of confusion, sudden fear of the intricate traps and great storytelling from James Wan that makes this a homer. This never feels overly violent or gratuitous like the franchise eventually becomes

God dammit, we failed this movie. Timmy you’ll get that gold man eventually
