Goke's Notes: — Like most millennials, I watched Shrek as a kid. However, I always preferred Shrek 2 and I've rewatched the sequel more. I think I only watched Shrek once.— I know I enjoyed Shrek as a kid and I enjoyed it now. The last 15 minutes had some moving moments— Great soundtrack: The Eels, Joan Jett, Rufus Wainwright, and of course... Smash Mouth— The romance between Shrek and Fiona was established too quickly and without any real substantive evidence for me to completely buy it— I was feeling kind of low when I was watching it and that might in part explain why it resonated with me more than I expected— Some images were quite dazzling and occurred during very quiet, emotional moments making them even more resonant
