“Hatred stirs up strife but love covers all offenses” Waves is genuinely one of the most beautiful films I’ve ever watched. It means more to me than I can ever explain. This film presents how no one is pure evil, we’re just humans. We each have our minds and souls, they’re all different. No one can truly know exactly what’s going on in someone’s head, what they’ve been through and why they do things the way they do. People often tend to focus on the first half, but the second half is the most beautiful representation of the way past hurt does not define who you are. It shows how you are capable of learning and growing from the traumas you’ve experienced. It captures the importance of love being gentle and patient despite how it’s been represented to you before. Forgiveness will set you free. You have so much love to share with the world, and so much life yet to live. so forgive. This film shows life’s ups and downs in such a realistic and exquisite way. I will forever hold this film close to my heart and carry its heavy meanings with me.
