Arrival
Arrival is genuinely one of the best movies ever created. The concept is incredible, the tension never lets up, and the way the story slowly reveals itself had me completely locked in. By the time you reach the final 20 minutes, the movie becomes something almost otherworldly. That ending is unforgettable and emotionally devastating in the best way.
The score is so iconic and absolutely elevates everything, haunting, beautiful, and perfectly matched to the film’s tone. As of right now, Denis Villeneuve is firmly in my top three directors. He does not miss. And Amy Adams? Unreal. One of the best performances of her career. If you haven’t seen this movie yet, stop what you’re doing and watch it. An all-time great with one of the best endings I’ve ever experienced.
