my ratings are generally higher because cinema is subjective and i am generous when it comes to *joy*

the music and usage of lighting and darkness is impeccable. truly a great neo noir

meh, few animations looked sloppy, felt more like a "simulator game" than a GTA game and god forbid 30fps in 2026. i just hope its not RT forced else performance is gonna be bad, also does not feel like its worth 13 year of wait. lived the jungle / swamp and under water scene tho, those were fabulous. but ofc that was just the showcase, can't say anything about the game P.S: the review above is coming from a neutral as fuck gamer with no bias and nostalgia factor

i should start reading synopsis or atleast take a look at the genre before watching something. i went to watch this thinking it was somewhere between **SATIRE/DRAMA!!!. **not at all what i expected. and yes Rachael, kindly shut the fuck up loved the movie tho (i have seen alot of robert pattinson this month i should stop)

was confused for 70% of the time. first half was so empty i felt sleepy at 12pm even after 8 hours of sleep. yk something is wrong when you enjoyed the start of dawn era more than the human era. HAL was a good addition enjoyed those parts genuinely. 2nd half was fine but little to no coherent meaning,a lot of stuff is used with no context, such as the monolith acting as a stargate then the light show of tearing through space-time. then the time jump sequences in "alien chamber" for the evolution is too much to take in one go. overall good film but this is the type of film which needs 2-3 rewatches to understand fully. but music was perfect, given the time of release its 100% way ahead of its time. overall in first watch it felt more like style over substance. but if i see this in year 1968 i am giving 5/5 stars. this truly did inspire the sci-fi world of cinema coherency is very important for me
