truly one of the most hypnotic movies i've ever seen. silence didn't even feel like silence. without many words, this film succeeds to create an insane, stressful, beautiful sound atmosphere – with loads of heavy breathing, steps, the wind, people swallowing, tongues clicking. the first thirty minutes were definitely very dario argento (the guy who made suspiria) inspired and i just love this typa lighting. every step of her life has a different scenery and the colorimetry was sooo smart, my eyes and ears were blessed. now about the body horror ; i wasnt thinking i'd see it so well done. accurate representation – at least for me, of a crisis which includes modification of surroundings. anyway. even the story has something relatable to it, coming from a girl who got called a witch a lot as a kid and who turned a lil freaky. loved that.
