this is a beautiful but emotionally exhausting movie of two halves that gives you severe emotional whiplash. what makes it brilliant is how raw and real it feels. the visuals are stunning, and the soundtrack is basically a god-tier playlist featuring frank ocean, kendrick lamar, and tame impala. ​however, it’s not an easy sunday night watch. the sharp split makes it feel like two completely different movies stitched together, shifting from 100 mph to a slow indie crawl that might test your patience.
