Playing Hard

kinga debska I LOVE YOU!!!!! but i dont really get magda’s story though. like the movie talks about alcohol addiction and i love how it showed it from different generations but her story was a bit weird? i mean she was raped and thats a thing we should talk about! but it was showed like she was raped because she was drunk. and that is not a good way to show both rape and addiction. she wasnt raped because she was drunk she was raped because men exist! if she wasnt drunk it wouldve happen anyway and that story shows it like it was “her fault” because she drank too much. and i dont like that. the alcohol wasnt a problem here it was a man who did this. dorota and teresa were also showed like it was “their fault” that they had drinking problems and that everything what happened was their fault. the men here were showed as saints which i don’t like because they weren’t good characters too. i loved the movie it made me think (like all kinga’s movies!) but i hate the fact that it was all blamed on those poor women. yes they were the ones who started drinking but addiction isn’t a thing you can stop right away. so everything that happened later wasnt their faults. it was alcohol talking. and the recovery was showed so fast? like no it doesnt work like that in real life. its like kinga had to finish the movie so she sped up the process. but the movie is 1 hour and 30 minutes long she couldve make it a bit longer and no one would be mad. on the contrary - i think it would be even better. but even tho i’m giving it four and a half cause besides the problems i just talked about i think it was a really good movie that everyone should watch.
