wanted to write a short review but i have a lot of thoughts so buckle in! going into this having not seen any trailers or reading the book i had no idea what to expect and holy shit. this was so beautiful and reminded me of why i love movies so much in the first place. i’ve been in a movie slump for awhile and i think this healed me!! i can’t remember the last time a movie emotionally affected me this much. yet it doesn’t feel emotionally manipulative at all. started the movie thinking “lol i would never go to space” and slowly realizing that was the point of the movie. trying to keep this spoiler free but the relationship between grace and rocky was so beautiful and wholesome and perfect and ryland grace really had one of the best character arcs i’ve ever seen. cried for the first time when he took off his helmet and was trying to keep track after that but lost count i was crying practically the whole time. sign of the times needle drop amazing. please go see this on the biggest screen you can. it’s meant to be seen that way!!! also great weekend to be named grace

men are so evil. this is definitely theater bias but i liked this more than the first i think. it expanded on the lore more which i liked. this is basically slasher knives out, which is fun! it’s not doing anything new when it comes to eat the rich commentary, and it knows it. samara weaving is so fucking incredible in this. she acts the fuck out of her role, i could watch her in anything

he really expected her to stay with him after all that lol her laughing as they all explode oh grace the final girl of all time i am honored to share a name with you

watched with my mom on oscars night bc she was sick and i was slacking in watching the noms. #my best picture winner
