SUPERGIRL SUMMER!!! definitely a new favorite superhero movie

I live across from an ikea… I’m gonna have to move… this movie was so innovative in several different ways (and from the mind of a 20 year old at that). with most horror movies, it explores the themes of guilt and trauma except in a whole new light. within the first few minutes I’m already covering my eyes yet the brilliant sound design still gets under my skin. the film is wonderfully designed, the setting is a character itself, developing and reacting to the other characters as they interact. the music and score creak along with the furniture and you never feel alone.  this film will definitely stick with me as I’m still unraveling it in my head hours later, it’s the perfect blend of abstract and guided. the message and symbolism of memory are unlike anything I’ve seen so far, I hope to see more from the director in the future!!
