reasons why this film was made for me: - the main character's name is GRACE!! - The other main character's name is ROCKY! (only ogs get this one) - The film revolves around hot scientist nerds trying to save the world whilst figuring out who they are (litterally me) - the main character is a science teacher and loves it - one of my favourite actresses who's performance changed my life in Anatomy of a Fall sings sign of the times (harry styles's best song) - The film prioritises friendship over romantic love - it's based in freaking space cmon now I am space oddity 🚀 - Last of all it's directed by the same directors who made the MASTERPIECE it's cloudy with a chance of meatballs. ABSOLUTE LEGENDS List can go on but my battery life can't so that's all for tonight fellas 🎩

A film that breathes life and creativity within you, crafting each frame with a voice that speaks for itself. I can only account for a few films that can be so eerie yet so consoling simultaniously. Not only is the art style so darling, the film acts as a philosophical message, exploring themes of abandonement, fear of replacement and parenthood incredibly well (Was the mother right to have a family whilst being aware of her physical limitations?) without the need to overwhelm the audience with mawkish dialogue. Bruno Coulais being the music composer of the film fills my heart with irrepressible joy as a Coraline Kid. One of the best film composers ever which really adds onto my ongrowing love for this film. 🌊🦴🦭 Not trying to hinder the film’s magic but I see clear inspiration from Studio Ghibli’s 2008 film Ponyo. So if you really enjoyed the coastal life in this film, do give Ponyo a try for it’s breathtaking animation. (This is your sign to watch Studio Ghibli Marjan) Coraline clears (sorry)
