this is an absolutely perfect film. ill never recover from this

im soooo late to the Wuthering Heights party but I finally made it💌 Visually? Absolutely stunning. Every frame has so obviously been meticulously composed. The cinematography is sweeping, moody and DRENCHED in atmosphere, perfectly capturing that windswept, brooding energy. The costume design.. actually flawless. Performance-wise, I was genuinely surprised. Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi bring a level of intensity and emotional rawness that really works on screen, there’s a magnetic push and pull between them that keeps things compelling even when the narrative stumbles. Because… as an adaptation (and a LONG TIME Brontë Sister fan), it doesn’t quite land. It’s trimmed and reshaped the source material in ways that lose some of the complexity and slow-burn devastation that make the novel so powerful and compelling? It honestly feels more like an interpretation than a faithful retelling, which isn’t inherently bad, just noticeable if you’re as attached to the book as I am 😭 So, as a film it’s gorgeous. As Wuthering Heights, it’s a bit… windswept but hollow.

elite

im loving this katniss and edward combo?! this was an uncomfortable watch. the film really feels like being completely trapped in someone else’s unraveling, which is cool but like let me out pls. romantic, feral and suffocating in the worst and best way. it’s beautiful but it’s rotting. definitely feels like there may be some holes in the story, something was missing.
